Signed and dated front and back; Robert Elkon Gallery, New York label
An original 1982 drawing by Walter Koenigstein (Austrian-American, b. 1944), done in graphite on an aluminum panel. Fast, sweeping gestural lines curl and loop across a soft cream ground, like calligraphy in motion.
Titled "Meanwhile, Brave Efforts." Signed and dated on the front and again on the back. The back still has the original Robert Elkon Gallery label from 1063 Madison Avenue, New York, with title, date, medium and size. In the 1980s it hung in the Fifi Oscard Agency, the New York talent and literary agency.
