Questions
The things people ask me most. If yours isn't here, text me. That's the fastest way to get an answer and I don't mind at all.

Is it still available?
If it's on the site, almost certainly. Everything is one of one, so once a piece sells it comes down.
Can you hold something for me?
Yes, for one week. Text me and it's yours for the week.
Do you take offers?
No. The prices are already low.
Can I get measurements?
Text me and I'll go measure it. Same for extra photos, or a closer look at a particular corner of something.
How old is it?
It's in the description. If I don't know, I say so.
Can you look out for something specific?
Yes. Tell me what you're after and I'll make a note on your account. I'm out sourcing most weeks anyway, so I'll text you if it turns up.
Why is there so much more clothing in the shop than online?
Because clothes sell faster in person than it takes me to photograph and list them. The racks lean toward cashmere and wool sweaters and linen tops and dresses, and there's almost always vintage Coach, leather belts, ball caps, and wallets. If you're looking for something specific, text me and I'll tell you what I have.
Condition
What condition is everything in?
Found and cleaned. Everything gets cleaned before it goes out, without exception.
Do you tell me about flaws?
Yes, in the description. I don't buy things with damage I can't fix, so there usually isn't much to report.
Can you fix something I didn't buy here?
Yes. Bring it in. Prices depend on the job, and I'll tell you before we start.
Why is it more than a thrift store?
Goodwill gets its stock donated. I buy mine, pay the person I bought it from, clean it, fix what needs fixing, and pay rent on the room it sits in. Then I make a living on what's left.
Getting it home
Do you ship?
Anywhere in the United States. Small things usually go out the next day. Full details are in the shipping policy.
How much does it cost to ship furniture?
It depends on the measurements, the weight and where you are, so it's quoted per piece. Text me the piece and your zip code and I'll get you a real number.
Will you deliver it yourself?
Often, yes. For furniture it's usually simpler and safer than shipping, and I charge by mileage. I've driven pieces as far as Harlem. For longer runs I work with a driver who covers the East Coast.
Can I order online and pick up in Fairfield?
Yes, and it's free. Choose pickup at checkout and I'll text you when it's ready.
Returns
Can I return something?
If it isn't what I described, tell me within 4 days of delivery and I'll make it right. Returns are for when I've gotten something wrong, not for a change of heart.
The full terms are in the refund policy.
What if it arrives broken?
Full refund. Send photos of the damage and the packaging, and keep the box, because the carrier will ask for it.
What about things bought in the shop?
Final sale. If something turns out to be wrong with a piece, come talk to me and I'll usually sort it out with store credit.
Selling to me
Do you buy things?
Sometimes. Send photos before you load a car.
Can I consign with you?
Yes, and there's a whole page on how it works, what I take and what I don't. See consignment.
I have a whole house to deal with.
That's estate sales, and it's a different service. Start with the estates page, or just text me where the house is and when it has to be empty.
Designers and trade
Do you have a trade discount?
15% on everything, no minimum, plus one-week holds while a client decides and first look at new pieces before they go on the site. See the trade program.
Can you source for a specific project?
Yes. That's the part designers actually use. Tell me the brief and I'll look while I'm out.
Visiting
Where are you?
1139 Post Road, Fairfield, in the Brick Walk. Same building as Ring's End, next door to Flipside Burgers, right beside the Shell station. Parking is free. More on the shop page.
Why are you closed from 2:30 to 3:30?
School pickup. Getting my son is the quick part, driving across town is what takes the hour. I'm back by 3:30.
How quickly do you answer a text?
Usually right away during shop hours, and not as quickly after.
Still wondering something?
Text me. I'd much rather answer a question than have you guess, and there is no question about a piece that I'll find annoying.
