Condition
Good vintage condition. One bottom corner panel is cracked through in a few places, with an old glue repair, and is still held in place. Desilvering and age spots, mostly along the crest and lower edges, and small chips along some panel edges.
A Venetian style wall mirror made almost entirely of glass. The beveled center plate is framed by etched mirror panels of flowers and leaves, with cut scalloped edges and little molded glass rosettes holding the pieces together at the joints.
Up top is a tall crest of scrolls, leaves and flowers. Every piece is cut, beveled and etched by hand, and it catches the light from every angle.
It belonged to the consignor's mother and has been in the family for over sixty years.
Hang it in an entry, over a console or dresser, or in a powder room. A little Hollywood Regency glamour for a traditional home.
