A hand-crank rotary egg beater, the kind that whipped cream and beat egg whites in every American kitchen before the electric mixer took over. The frame and D-grip handle are copper, gone to a soft warm patina, set with an open gear wheel, a cream turning knob (an old ivory-toned plastic, yellowed with age), and twin stainless beaters stamped "U.S.A. Stainless."

It turns freely. Honest age: the copper wears an aged patina and the steel beaters have some spotting, but it cranks and it displays beautifully. About 10.5 inches long. Stand it in a crock with your wooden spoons, or actually use it.
