ConditionExcellent vintage condition. One tiny pinhole visible only up close, minor rubs to frame edges.

A mid-century oil portrait of an older bearded man in a beret and a richly colored cloak, painted in thick impasto. Heavy white strokes build up the beard, with maroon and ochre shadows and bright blue eyes looking straight at you.

The background is loose, broken color in teal, coral and mustard, which keeps the whole thing lively.

Framed and ready to hang. Great in a study, over a reading chair or in a gallery wall.
