An original watercolor of two riders in red hunting coats heading down a country lane into a stone village. Slate roofed cottages sit among autumn trees, a tall church tower with pinnacles rises on the right, and patchwork fields climb toward a rocky hilltop. Fine pen work picks out the leaves, windows and fences.
Signed lower left. It's double matted in ivory with drawn lines and set in a warm wood frame. Lovely in a study, an entry or a horse lover's home.
