A matched pair of Colonial Revival armchairs in dark walnut-stained wood, from the 1920s or 1930s. They have been newly reupholstered in vintage 1960s linen.
The carving is crisp throughout: pierced splat backs, scrolling arms, carved knees and ball-and-claw feet in the Chippendale tradition. The two match closely in depth and proportion.
