A signed watercolor after Geoffrey Holder (1930 to 2014), the Trinidadian-American painter, dancer, and director whose visual work is finally getting its due. Holder won two Tony Awards in 1975 for The Wiz, the first Black man nominated in either category, and held a 1957 Guggenheim Fellowship in painting, with work in the Studio Museum in Harlem. "Woman in a Yellow Dress" carries that lineage into a piece you can actually own and hang.
