Excellent antique condition. No cracks or chips; minimal surface wear consistent with age; ribbed striker surfaces intact.
A pair of antique French match strikers, the ribbed pots called pyrogènes that sat on café and bar counters. The matches stand inside, and you strike them on the ribs around the outside.
Glossy white ironstone with a rolled foot. They're a near pair rather than an exact match, with slightly finer ribbing on one. Nice on a bar cart, by the fireplace, or next to the candles on a dinner table.
