An original acrylic on canvas by Per Arnoldi (Danish, b. 1941), the Copenhagen painter and graphic designer known for bold, flat color and some of Scandinavia's most famous posters. Rounded ladder forms in soft white, dove gray and charcoal tumble and overlap across a black field, playing with depth and shadow.
Signed "Arnoldi" and dated '79 on the back. In the 1980s it hung in the Fifi Oscard Agency, the New York talent and literary agency.
Unframed on its original stretcher, wired and ready to hang.
