A romantic hand-cast pitcher molded in the style of a Victorian Gothic relief jug — a mounted knight in a tournament scene beneath pointed Gothic arches, wrapped with grapevine and foliate borders and finished with a branch-form handle. A soft pink wash blushes over creamy white and settles into all the relief detail. Signed "Shirley" on the base by the ceramist who made it. Statement-y and thoroughly grandmillennial on a mantel, shelf, or filled with dried florals. A mid-to-late 20th-century studio/hobby ceramic reproducing a classic antique design.
