A hand-stitched crewel embroidery of a flower basket overflowing with roses, carnations, and tulips in pinks and blues, with a tiny bee worked into the linen at the edge. The stitching is dense and skilled, with shaded petals and a textured basket in at least a dozen stitch types. Initialed and dated '95 by the maker. Framed under glass in a wood frame with a walnut finish and an easel back, so it can hang or stand on a shelf. The linen shows light tan staining near the lower edge and some creasing, visible in the photos. The needlework itself is bright and intact.
