A finely woven split rattan basket from Palawan, Philippines, traditionally used to carry bolos and knives. The double-weave pattern, narrow profile, and hand-carved hardwood base give it a sculptural quality that works as well on a shelf as it did in the field. Rich natural tones, warm and aged.
At 11" tall and just 3.5" wide, it has an elegant verticality — distinctive among woven pieces.
