A hand-stitched cross stitch sampler with a sweet verse: true love is a flower that blooms with age. Numbers and alphabet rows, a floral basket flanked by doves, corner roses, and a scrolling border, all worked by hand and signed Jan Huppi, dated 1989 in the corners. A second verse at the bottom reads: this needlework before you see, it is the very best from me. Framed under glass with a blue/green mat in an oak frame with wire back, ready to hang. The linen shows a small brown stain near the lower edge, visible in the photos. The stitching is bright and fully intact. Sampler style with real handwork, made for a gallery wall or above a dresser.
