A rectangular Chinese porcelain box with a domed lid, decorated in raised enamels: a pair of birds among stylized flowers and branches over a sponged green and white ground. The colors are soft, teal, rust, lavender, and sand, with texture you can feel. Clean glazed interior for jewelry, keys, or desk clutter, with felt pads already on the base. Late 20th century, in the chinoiserie export style that layers beautifully with both traditional and modern rooms. The red seal mark on the base is a decorative Qianlong-style mark, a traditional homage used on later porcelain, not a maker or date stamp.
