This hammered brass planter—likely made by Crown Jewel in the 1960s–70s—adds understated glow to any setting. A straight-sided cylinder is hand-dimpled in the classic honeycomb texture, then finished with double bead rings at rim and foot. Sized to slip a standard 8- or 9-inch nursery pot, it works equally well as an elegant wastebasket or umbrella stand.
Details & Features
- Solid brass body, unlacquered for a naturally developing patina
- Trademark Crown Jewel “hammered” finish (no handles for a clean profile)
- Double rolled bands lend subtle Art-Deco echoes while reinforcing the rim
- Versatile: cachepot for figs or palms, living-room bin, or chic bathroom caddy
Measurements
Approximately 10 inches tall × 10.5 inches diameter
Condition
Very good vintage condition. Even warm patina with faint water spots and a few light dings—typical of decades of indoor use; interior is sound and leak-free.
Styling Notes
Slide it next to a leather armchair and nest a philodendron for instant library coziness, or pair with rattan baskets and brass candlesticks to layer texture in a boho corner. In a small entryway, drop rolled umbrellas inside—the hammered surface bounces light and makes the space feel larger.
