Signed Ceramic Plate, Hand-Built Floral Folk Art

Square hand-built ceramic plate with rounded corners and low walls, signed Berta on the underside. Two stylized flowers fill the face in mustard, cream, and deep olive with soft mint leaves, all on a blush pink ground.

Every shape is outlined in dark slip laid down in a beaded dot line. That texture is done by hand, one dot at a time, and it’s what gives the surface depth in person that a photo flattens out. The glaze has the slightly matte, hand-mixed look of small-batch studio work.

Good on a dresser for rings and earrings, by the door for keys, or on the wall with a plate hanger.

Decorative, not dinnerware. Hand wash only.
