Good antique condition; crazing with light brown staining near the handle and shoulder, small glaze flecks, and a hairline on the base.
A 19th century white ironstone pitcher with a softly swirled body and a tall, ribbed fan-shaped spout. Molded scrolls trim the shoulder and base, and the handle is shaped like a curling branch with little knobs where the leaves would be. Fine crazing and warm age toning give it the soft, lived-in look ironstone collectors love. Beautiful on a kitchen shelf or filled with garden flowers.
