A late Victorian side chair in walnut-stained hardwood, with a curved two-slat back, hand-caned seat, turned front legs, and spindle stretchers. The kind of chair that worked as a bedroom, desk, or occasional chair and still does. Warm original finish with honest age throughout. The woven cane seat is the hand-done hole-and-peg kind, not pressed sheet cane. A charming, useful antique that fits farmhouse, cottage, and traditional rooms alike.
