A small, characterful antique copper pot from a collection of French copper. It was raised and hammered by hand, seamed with a dovetailed base, and fitted with two forged loop handles riveted to the body and a domed lid topped by a forged loop. The copper glows warm where it's been handled and has gone soft green in the recesses, the kind of patina you only get with real age. Lovely on open shelving or a hearth, holding kindling or dried flowers, or just standing on its own.
