An eight-sided oak mirror with all the warmth of 1930s English craft. The frame is worked in a beaded gadroon border and set at four points with turned urn finials in a pale limed finish, a quiet Jacobean flourish against the deep, rayed grain of the oak. At its center sits a faceted beveled plate that catches a room and hands it back a little softer, the kind of looking glass that has clearly kept company with a few good decades. Lovely in an entry, over a mantel, or layered into a gallery wall.
