Minton of Stoke-on-Trent was Tiffany & Co.'s most important English porcelain supplier during the Gilded Age and into the early 20th century. Tiffany commissioned Minton to produce plates and services of the highest quality for the American luxury market — pieces that furnished the dining rooms of the Gilded Age establishment. A set bearing both the Minton and Tiffany & Co. New York marks is a genuine artifact of that era.

These six dinner plates are decorated in one of the most recognized Minton-for-Tiffany combinations: a hand-painted floral center with a raised turquoise enameled border and scalloped gilt rim. The turquoise enamel is particularly characteristic of Minton's finest work — applied in relief and fired separately, it has a jewel-like depth that flat decoration cannot replicate.

The backstamp is the puce crowned Mintons globe with "Tiffany & Co. / New York / Made in England" — a mark used in the 1902–1912 window, confirmed by the pattern number G7060 painted in red above. These are antique pieces, over 110 years old.

Comparable sets of Minton for Tiffany dinner plates in turquoise and gilt sell between $2,250 and $4,800 on 1stDibs. A set of six in excellent condition at this price represents a genuine entry point into one of the most collectible categories in American and English decorative arts.
