A solid hammered brass cachepot from c. 1940s–60s with twin Art Deco mask handles — mythic faces with scalloped loop crowns that double as ring pulls. The hand-hammered body, dovetailed seam, rolled rim, and double bead bands are all the hallmarks of quality utility brass from this period. Natural verdigris at the seam adds honest patina rather than detracting from it.
Substantial at 10.5" diameter — genuinely sized for a large plant, kindling, or rolled towels.
Material: Solid hammered brass sheet, dovetailed seam, soldered base Handles: Dual Art Deco mask handles with scalloped ring pulls Finish: Aged honey-gold patina with natural verdigris at seam Style: Colonial Revival / English fireside | Era: c. 1940s–60s, unmarked Dimensions: 10.5"Dia × 10"H (interior ~9.75"Dia; handles project ¾")
Condition: Good vintage. Rich even patina, surface rubs, oxidation streak at seam (pictured). No holes; base sits flat. Use a pot liner if planting directly.
