A cylindrical ceramic vase designed by Aldo Londi and produced by Bitossi, Italy for Rosenthal Netter — one of the most collectible trios in mid-century modern decorative arts. The green glaze with creamy white bubble-like accents is a notably rare colorway for Bitossi, which is best known for its Rimini Blu line. Hand-thrown and hand-painted with the textured, tactile quality that defines Londi's work. Signed on the base.
Aldo Londi served as creative director of Bitossi for over 50 years, creating some of postwar Italy's most distinctive ceramics. Rosenthal Netter imported his work to the American market from the 1950s through the late 1970s.
