This spherical Lipton Tea brass caddy was produced as a souvenir for the British Empire Exhibition of 1924 at Wembley. Cast in two hemispheres with a domed lid, the globe-shaped tin features a relief camel-and-pyramid vignette above a raised band reading “BRITISH EMPIRE EXHIBITION.” Lipton’s stand at the exhibition celebrated tea routes through Egypt and India, and these tins once held a half-pound of loose tea sold to visitors.
Today the golden patina and Exhibition provenance make it a collectible accent—perfect for housing trinkets or adding a dash of interwar travel flair to a bar cart or bookshelf.
